Well, I'm going to this to do some reporting tomorrow.

This evening I'm hitting up a cocktail reception. Normally I'd be all about dressing up, but how exactly do nerdy types prepare for these things? I can easily imagine a sea of blue jeans with nary a shimmery dress in sight.
